A Grand Summer Float On The Courtois River
One of the taller bluffs and dressed with trees
Refreshing in the riffles...
Trees of lush greens leaning over water enhance the feel of an intimate stream. And occasional bluffs add even more. The Courtois River flows through the Mark Twain National Forest and also the Huzzah State Forest...
Caves are fairly common on Ozarks Rivers
Just enough water to glide down stream...
A blue sky, white clouds
the lushest greens, the clearest waters
A perfect summer day in paradise
And on to the campsite with a view
Evensong under a Waxing Moon
Tonight, will the Whippoorwills croon?
Sorcery above the fire (playing with a laser light)
a good day, a good night
________
The Courtois River or Creek is a tributary of the Meramec River in the Missouri Ozarks.
Courtois in French means "courteous, agreeable."
Indeed!
-and the Whippoorwills were heard in faraway hills...
Peace on the River
